General Laborer

Hunter Contracting is seeking General Laborer to assist construction crews with various duties.

 Responsible for:

  • Cleaning or preparing construction site to eliminate hazards.
  • Demolishing and/or placing construction materials.
  • Measuring, marking or recording layout areas for construction.
  • Signaling equipment operators to align and adjust machinery.
  • Loading, unloading materials, machinery, tools and distributing to appropriate locations and personnel.

Work Qualifications:

  • Has a great deal of awareness of soil conditions and proper slopes.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions.
  • Able to stand, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, crouch for long periods.
  • Able to work and communicate well with team members.
  • Takes pride in craftsmanship
  • Works within precise standards of accuracy
  • Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines.
  • Practices good safety habits.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) years' experience in the construction industry in highway/street & road construction.
