Hunter Contracting Co.'s creative and consistently busy marketing group is looking for a driven full-time Marketing Specialist who thrives in a collaborative environment as part of a team dedicated to the win! We focus on producing successful proposals and award submittals and developing strong interview teams that contribute to the company's bottom line and project backlog. Marketing has a distinct purpose within the organization to gain an architectural/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry experienced team member with a diverse skill set and aptitude for writing, graphic design, organization, inspiring people, and driving results!
ROLES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal and Marketing Support:
  • Assist in the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing deliverables, ensuring alignment with company branding and client requirements.
  • Review and analyze RFP/RFQ requirements to support the creation of compliant and tailored materials.
  • Design and develop graphics, templates, and visuals to enhance proposal and presentation content.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather data, bios, project information, and other necessary components for marketing collateral.
  • Maintain databases of resumes, project sheets, photos, and past proposals for easy access and reuse.

Marketing and Communications:
  • Contribute to social media content creation, website updates, and internal/external newsletters.
  • Support event coordination, including trade shows, association activities, and company milestones (e.g., groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting events).
  • Assist with award submittals and marketing campaigns to promote company achievements and initiatives.
  • Develop creative, on-brand messaging for marketing deliverables, ensuring consistency across platforms.

Collaboration and Improvement:
  • Collaborate with teams to identify project successes for storytelling in marketing materials.
  • Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions to develop engaging and competitive content.
  • Research industry trends, tools, and competitors to enhance company marketing strategies.

Other Duties:
  • Support internal corporate culture initiatives, including employee engagement activities and surveys.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team objectives.

WORK QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 6+ years of professional experience in marketing coordination, proposal development, or graphic design, preferably within the A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Prezi and Canva experience are a plus.
  • Video editing is a plus
  • Experience in social media content creation and website administration is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write, edit, and design engaging content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative design skills with attention to detail and an eye for branding consistency.
  • Proactive problem-solver who works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of modern marketing techniques, including digital campaigns and social media.

Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a professional office setting using computers, phones, and
    standard equipment.
  • Close visual acuity required for reviewing data, graphics, and written content.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift 10 lbs. or more, and perform repetitive tasks as needed.
