As a result, we have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join as a CEI Project Manager in our Construction Services Business Unit in Lexington, SC.
Responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the project manager on transportation construction projects;
  • Assisting in managing current and prospective CEI contracts;
  • Controlling project budgets, scopes, and schedules;
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Leading proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates;
  • Site visits to construction projects; recruiting, mentoring, and managing project assigned CEI staff.

A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
This position has the potential to evolve into a supervisory/management role for someone with the right aptitude for overseeing a team.
The successful candidate must have the following:
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience with 2 of the 10 years at the project management level
  • OR, if no degree 14+ years of relevant experience including two years at the project management level

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • A PE license in any state with ability to obtain in South Carolina within six months of start date
  • Experience serving as the project manager/resident engineer on SCDOT projects
  • Experience managing CEI projects, professional staff and inspection staff
