Our innovative team is rapidly expanding. UWorld is currently searching for a talented and competitive Account Executive who will be responsible for growing new business opportunities in the UWorld Nursing division. The Account Executive will work with the Team Leader in growing the institutional B2B business through direct outreach. The ideal candidate will be an expert relationship manager securing bulk purchase agreements and institutional purchases with universities and colleges within an assigned territory.

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field preferred.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Must have at least five years of sales experience (with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting).
  • Proven track record as a "hunter"-demonstrated ability to uncover leads, convert prospects, and consistently crush new business sales quotas.
  • Previous sales experience in education or publishing fields is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive experience in top-of-funnel pipeline generation, qualifying opportunities, and meticulous time management.
  • Prior use of UWorld products is a plus but not a requirement. 

Required Skills:

  • Hunter Mentality: High degree of resilience, persistence, and self-motivation to chase and close new business.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; fearless in picking up the phone to cold call, connect, and interact with potential institutional customers.
  • Presentation: Highly comfortable and persuasive when speaking or presenting in front of large groups.
  • Consultative Approach: Aptitude for problem-solving and determining tailored solutions for customers to win their business.
  • Drive: Energetic, outgoing, competitive, and aggressively goal oriented.
  • Organization: Outstanding organizational abilities with an adaptive, collaborative mindset.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 70% within the defined territory to hunt for new opportunities.

JOB DUTIES: (Including but not limited to)

Prospecting & New Business Development (Hunting) - 60 to 70%

  • Aggressive Outreach: Source new sales opportunities by relentlessly cold-calling institutional prospects and capitalizing on new/existing leads.
  • Pipeline Generation: Prospect and build a robust sales pipeline across multiple mediums, including phone, email campaigns, trade show leads, and inbound website inquiries.
  • Territory Research: Strategically map out potential sales opportunities within the assigned region to identify and target key institutional decision-makers.
  • Strategic Closing: Prioritize high-value meetings, conduct persuasive on-site presentations, and deliver compelling sales demos to secure new contracts.
  • Event Networking: Attend conferences and trade shows to aggressively network, hunt for B2B/B2C prospects (limited), and expand market presence.
  • Creative Strategy: Forecast sales and develop "out-of-the-box" sales strategies and models to break into untapped markets and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Student Engagement: Conduct dynamic webinar presentations to student groups to drive grassroots interest and lead generation.
  • Revenue Focus: Meet and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly quotas specifically tied to new sales revenue.

Account Management & Team Collaboration (Farming) - 30 to 40%

  • Retention & Upselling: Manage post-sale activities and provide onboarding support to ensure the year-over-year retention and growth of existing university and college relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Care team to seamlessly process quotes and finalize sales contracts.
  • Market Intelligence: Coordinate with the marketing team to share customer takeaways, maintain accurate customer data, and document valuable market insights.
  • CRM Management: Maintain a high level of attention to detail regarding all sales activities, meticulously logging notes, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
  • Team Contribution: Participate actively in team meetings, taking responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and routing qualified opportunities to appropriate executives when necessary.
  • Professional Standards: Demonstrate accountability by independently completing projects on time and adhering to company standards.
  • Continuous Growth: Pursue ongoing personal and professional development through meetings, educational programs, and collaborating with direct reports to enhance competencies and professional practice
