What does hunting in the USA involve?

Hunting in the USA involves the pursuit and harvesting of wild animals for recreation, food, or population control. It is regulated by state and federal laws to ensure safety, conservation, and ethical practices. Hunters must obtain the appropriate licenses and follow specific seasons and bag limits for different species. Hunting is a popular outdoor activity in the US and plays a significant role in wildlife management and conservation funding.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a hunting guide in the USA?

To thrive as a Hunting Guide in the USA, you need extensive knowledge of local wildlife, hunting regulations, firearm safety, and outdoor survival skills, often supported by relevant state licenses and permits. Familiarity with GPS navigation, mapping software, and communication devices is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and adaptability help guides manage groups and ensure client satisfaction. These competencies are crucial for ensuring client safety, legal compliance, successful hunts, and positive outdoor experiences.

What are some challenges wildlife biologists face when managing hunting regulations in the USA?

Wildlife biologists in the USA often encounter challenges such as balancing conservation goals with hunting interests, monitoring populations of game species, and adapting to changing environmental conditions. They must collaborate with government agencies, hunters, and conservation groups to develop science-based policies that ensure sustainable wildlife populations. Additionally, they frequently use data from hunter harvest reports, field surveys, and research studies to inform management decisions, which requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Job description

Founding Hotels & Hospitality Growth Lead – USA

Texas or Florida Preferred

Hybrid / Flexible

Texas or Florida Preferred (USA-wide considered) | Remote / Flexible

You know hotels. Not just the surface level — you know the language, the metrics, the politics, the pressure. You know what an ADR is, why direct revenue matters, and what keeps a GM up at night. When you're in the room with a hotelier, you belong there.

You also understand that the industry is at an inflection point. Traditional acquisition channels are losing ground. The shift toward direct growth technologies — AI search, digital strategy, owned channels — isn't coming. It's already here. You can see it, you can articulate it, and you know how to help a hotelier navigate it with confidence.

You understand the strategic value of a hotel microsite — not as a nice-to-have, but as the ultimate knowledge hub for a property in a brand.com world. You can explain that to a revenue manager or a GM in a way that genuinely makes it click.

You've spent years building genuine relationships in this industry — with branded properties, management companies like Aimbridge, asset managers, independents — and those relationships are real. People in your network pick up when you call.

You're not just a door opener. You're a builder — someone who can hunt, sign, and then genuinely look after the accounts you bring on.

On top of your hotel world know-how, you're switched on when it comes to digital. You understand SEO, direct booking strategy, and the rapidly shifting world of AI search. You don't just talk about it — you can have a real conversation with a hotelier about why it matters to their bottom line.

You're commercially driven and self-sufficient. You don't need someone to hold your hand. You're comfortable being the only person on the ground in a time zone, because you know that the full weight of a 27-year-old company — with proven products, a solid back-end team, and real results in hotels across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia — is right behind you.

What This Role Actually Is

OmniHyper works with hotels and hospitality groups to grow their direct revenue through digital strategy, search, and emerging AI technologies. We've built strong products and delivered real results — and now we're ready to plant our flag in the United States.

This is a founding role in the US market. You'll be the first person on the ground — opening doors, building relationships, closing deals, and then caring for those clients while we grow the team around you. It's a hunter role with a farmer's heart.

Your primary focus will be Texas and Florida, though your remit is USA-wide — and can extend into Canada and South America. You'll also be available to support inbound opportunities in the UK and Ireland, where our team is already building momentum. The time zones work well for it.

You'll Thrive Here If You
  • Have genuine, current relationships with hoteliers — brands, management companies, independents, asset managers
  • Can speak hotel fluently — ADR, RevPAR, length of stay, direct vs. OTA — and know what drives decisions
  • Understand digital marketing, SEO, and AI search well enough to articulate real value to clients
  • Are energised by the idea of building something from scratch, not maintaining something already built
  • Are comfortable wearing multiple hats early on — hunter, relationship manager, trusted advisor
  • Are already based in Texas or Florida — or anywhere in the USA if you're the right person
What's On The Table

We're open about compensation — salary, commission-based, or a hybrid. We want the structure to work for the right person.

For those who earn their wings, longer-term opportunities — including a stake in what we're building — are very much on the table. But they'll be earned through performance, contribution, and shared success.

The growth path is real and open-ended. As the US market grows, so does your role. You'll be instrumental in shaping what the team looks like — and how far it goes is largely up to you.
