KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting team members, providing guidance, workload management, and professional development.
  • Prepare weekly financial snapshot for management
  • Assist in cash forecasting and reconciliations
  • Assist in credit card administration and integration with accounting software
  • Prepare month-end close entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain fixed assets and construction in process accounts
  • Maintain inventory and perform monthly cycle counts
  • Prepare various tax filings & registrations
  • Prepare billing and other entries related to more complex contracts
  • Provide support in the external audit process
  • Assist in strengthening internal controls
  • Assist in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal customers (i.e.- operations and other support departments)
  • Other account analyses as necessary
  • Various other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, public accounting preferred
  • Excel proficiency required
  • Must be self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills; ability to problem solve will be critical
  • Must be a team player, willing to pitch in and take on any task assigned
  • Must be someone who wants to improve current processes and make them more efficient
