Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while serving clients in your community via a virtual platform. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify client needs, using evidence-based assessment tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• Provide education and resources to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available treatment options.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health to enhance your therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidates will engage with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing various mental health challenges. Our center supports clients from different backgrounds, and you will play a crucial role in helping them overcome personal barriers to achieving mental wellness. Understanding the unique socio-economic and cultural contexts of clients in Oakland will enhance your effectiveness in facilitating meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Proficient in applying solution-focused psychotherapy interventions to meet the specific needs of clients, fostering an individualized approach to care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Strong analytical capabilities to assess client situations and implement effective problem-solving strategies.
• A collaborative spirit, appreciating the contributions of colleagues and fostering a supportive working environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a community health setting or clinic, providing mental health services.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms to ensure effective virtual therapy sessions.
• Experience working with marginalized and underserved populations, understanding their unique mental health needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
