THE POSITIONThe Department of Human Services is seeking a Human Services Program Specialist who is ready to take on challenging and important work. In this role, you will review information, analyze data, and help identify fraud, waste, and abuse within key programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position supports the Bureau of Program Integrity by reviewing referrals, analyzing data, and helping identify fraud, waste, and abuse within the Medical Assistance Program. As a Human Services Program Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Case Analysis: Review referrals, analyze claim and encounter data, and identify discrepancies in provider records
- Case Coordination: Organize assigned cases by planning review activities and ensuring work is completed on schedule
- Service Evaluation: Assess the type and amount of authorized services and confirm that documentation supports billing
- Report Preparation: Develop case findings, consult with medical staff, and prepare letters and recommendations
- Referral Support: Prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders, including fraud control partners
- Records Management: Maintain tracking information and manage paper and electronic case files in accordance with policy

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
