Job description

FLSA Status: Non Exempt / Non Union
Job Mission:
Manage all aspects of the Planning Respite Options for Older Adult Kinship Caregivers project to assess, design, and begin testing sustainable respite care models for older adult kinship caregivers in Oakland, Livingston, and Macomb Counties laying the foundation for a long-term, community-rooted respite program that supports both the caregivers and the children they are raising.
Performance Standards:
Plan and manage all activities of the Planning Respite Options for Older Adult Kinship Caregivers project to meet work plan objectives such as convening focus groups and designing and operating pilot mini-respite projects.
Regularly interface with participants, volunteers, and program partners to assure a successful, coordinated respite delivery model that responds and adapts to changing factors through development.
Assist in selecting the project evaluation provider and coordinate with them to evaluate all aspects of the project.
Assist with developing and convening a kinship care learning conference to share findings and highlight successful pilot models.
Assist in tracking program spending, ensuring expenditures align with the approved budget.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or three (3) years of Human Service program coordination required. Bachelor's degree in Human Service, Health, or related field or five (5) years of Human Service program coordination experience preferred.
Minimum one (1) year experience working with low income populations with diverse backgrounds required. Experience with geriatric or caregiver populations preferred.
Two (2) years of experience working with computer applications and customer tracking preferred.
Valid driver's license, valid automobile insurance, and reliable automobile to be used for job related travel are required.
Physical Job Description:
Job requirement in an 8 hour workday:
Sit: 6 hours- driving and sitting at desk
Stand: .05 hours
Walk: 1 hour
Bend/Stoop: .05 hours
Movements: YES- Reach Above- may need to reach for boxes from shelves; Balancing; Pushing
Weight carried: 26-50 lbs. - carrying boxes to and from vehicle, between office and off site locations.
Weight lifted: 26-50 lbs.- in and out of vehicle for focus group, meeting, respite activities.
