Job description

We are looking for: HR Generalist to assist in the management of the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. 

We can count on you for:

HR Activities and Support

Act as HR support for the site

Communicate MetLife information as received; follow up on Metlife claim status

Maintain the site Leave tracker - STD, FMLA, Parental Leave, etc.

AN Bids - Preparation, Posting and Coordination of Winners 

Act as Benefit enrollment, education, and contact support for site employees

Perform HR customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

Conducts audits of  HR programs and recommends corrective action.

Responsible for record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Maintains discipline files (electronic and paper)

Assigns and enters new grievance numbers and supporting documentation

Files documents into appropriate employee files.

Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

New Employee Orientation

Conduct new employee HR orientation and support

Follow up on background checks

Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.

Prepares new-employee files (electronic and/or paper).

Recognition and Employee Engagement

Act as the Employee Engagement Team Lead

Support Employee Engagement activities

Other

Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

High level of professionalism and confidentiality. 

Excellent organizational and presentation skills. 

Strong computer experience in Power Point, Excel, and Word. 

Must be able to multi-task and have strong problem solving skills. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

You will bring:

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. 

5+ years of experience.

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,800 - $101,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

  • Training platform for all employees

  • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
