Position Title: HR Generalist
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract HR Generalist opportunity.
Job Description:
  • We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our contract and temporary employees throughout their employment lifecycle-from onboarding through offboarding.
  • This role serves as a key HR resource for employees working at client locations and partners closely with Recruiters, Account Managers, clients, and internal teams.
  • The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced staffing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees on assignment, addressing questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, PTO, and general HR matters.
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, assignment transitions, and offboarding.
  • Conduct regular employee check-ins and support employee engagement and retention.
  • Partner with Recruiters, Account Managers, and client contacts on employee performance, attendance, workplace concerns, and assignment matters.
  • Support employee relations issues, including performance concerns and employment separations.
  • Assist with benefits administration, PTO, leave tracking, and payroll-related questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures, employee communications, and other HR initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.

Job Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, Employee Relations, or related experience.
  • Staffing agency, recruiting, contract workforce, or field employee experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred but not required.
