Human Resources Generalist

What You'll Do

You will partner with the Director of People and Culture, coordinating with our Accounting leadership, and external advisors to advise and support leadership and staff, specializing in benefits governed by ERISA. Your role will include communications strategies and support to staff, reporting, and overseeing compliance. You will lead audits, ensuring accurate reporting and strong documentation and support. You will serve as a trusted partner and leader in the firm for benefits-related needs.

You'll also support staff, serving as a trusted partner on the People & Culture team, advising on policies and approaches that support the mission of the organization and the needs of the team. This will involve advising staff, creating and co-leading trainings, and coaching team members as a senior member of a People & Culture (HR) team that puts staff needs first.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, economics, accounting, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience, including at least 4 years working with ERISA-governed benefits and retirement plans
  • Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans and ERISA laws, with hands-on experience managing compliance testing and reporting processes such as Form 5500, ADP/ACP, and 409(p)
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor staff while collaborating across teams to develop strategies and creative solutions
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • HR certification required (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR); retirement plan certifications such as CPSP, QKA, or QPA preferred
