JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
CF Industries has many exciting and challenging opportunities at its world class production facility in Yazoo City Mississippi. Technicians in this position are responsible for maintaining, repairing and replacing physical equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams and schematics for installation specifications.

  • Maintains equipment (pumps, turbines, compressors, piping, etc.) to precisely stated specifications.

  • Rebuilds and/or fabricates parts and performs preventative maintenance on equipment.

  • Performs work inside vessels and tanks.

  • Performs plumbing repairs and pipe replacement, insulation repair and replacement.

  • Performs repairs using hand tools such as relief valve and gate valve replacements.

  • Operates forklifts and man lifts.

  • Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing and lifting.

Successful incumbents will have:
High School Diploma or GED required.
AA Degree or Technical Certificates and/or licenses preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years as pipefitter/welder.
Must be able to perform TIG and shielded metal arc welding on high pressure stainless steel and carbon steel process piping per ASME Code.
Must pass welding test on GMAQ and SMAW according to R Stamp Procedure.
Possess proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
Effective organizational, time management and communications skills.
Ability to effectively follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
Works in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
The job occasionally requires overtime and call-outs on weekends, nights and holidays.
