Position Details
  • Evaluate, select, negotiate, and accurately set the rates for assigned policies to ensure a profitable business volume, in line with delegated authority and underwriting guidelines.
  • Finalize the entry of insurance contract data to ensure prompt transaction processing.
  • Ensure that endorsements, renewals, reissues, and cancellations are reviewed and analyzed in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate in implementing directives related to renewal rates, commitments, and premium adequacy.
  • Analyze the profitability of new business opportunities under the guidance of a senior underwriter by assessing risks based on underwriting data.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with brokers and clients to enhance understanding of the target market and contribute to service quality, problem resolution, and risk selection, in accordance with company standards.
  • Work with brokers and clients to promote customer retention and satisfaction through regular communication.

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply. 

Your Profile

  • College diploma and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial vehicle underwriting.
  • Team player who easily adapts to a growing environment.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Holds or is in the process of obtaining the CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation.
