Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY) TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D1118P00 and is part of the NH ARNG Recruiting, National Guard.
This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection.

Qualifications:

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter PRIOR to applying for this position.
Military Grades: Officer 01 to 03; Warrant Officer WO1 to CW3; Enlisted E4 to E8
Compatible Military Assignments: MOS IMMATERIAL

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs. Experience in human resources programs related to Strength Maintenance Program: recruitment, retention, and attrition of all Health Care, Chaplain, and Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) professionals within the state. Must have knowledge to serve as a principle point of contact for applicants and other interested parties during the recruiting and application process.

Education:

Enlisted: Must have a high school diploma or a general education development (GED) diploma. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is optimum.
Warrant Officers: Must have a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is optimum.
Officers: For Army National Guard Second and First Lieutenants must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree with at least 90 validated credit hours in a specified program. For Captains and above, must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.


You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
