What is a human intelligence collector?

Human Intelligence Collectors, often referred to as HUMINT Collectors, are professionals responsible for gathering information from human sources to support military or intelligence operations. They conduct interviews, interrogations, and debriefings to obtain valuable data about enemy forces, capabilities, intentions, and other critical information. These specialists analyze the collected intelligence, prepare reports, and share their findings with commanders and intelligence agencies to inform decision-making. HUMINT Collectors play a vital role in national security by providing insights that cannot be obtained through technical means alone.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a human intelligence collector?

To thrive as a Human Intelligence Collector, you need strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a background in intelligence or military operations, often supported by relevant security clearances. Familiarity with intelligence-gathering tools, databases, and reporting systems such as SIPRNet and DCGS-A is essential. Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to build rapport are crucial for effectively gathering information from diverse sources. Job description

Company description

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field data collection company founded in 2017.
We collect data where automation is not possible. We count features, take pictures, make videos, record speech, and scan areas for every detail you need to make more informed decisions. Our field data collection teams are spread across Europe and North America, ready to accept new challenges.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the EU countries. The project is performed on cars with 360 cameras mounted on top that image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world.

The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.

The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable.

The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Driver Licence;
  • Good driving skills and clean driving record;
  • Private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle would be a plus;
  • General car knowledge would be a plus;
  • Enjoys driving, within standard business hours;
  • Available for a minimum of 3 months;
  • Great communication and reporting skills;
  • Tech savvy (drivers will use Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp);
  • High level of responsibility;
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
