The UI/UX Human Factor Developer focuses on designing user interfaces and experiences that are both effective and enjoyable, while also considering human capabilities and limitations. They bridge the gap between technology and human users by applying principles of psychology, engineering, and design to create user-friendly and efficient systems. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. Your future duties and responsibilities: • Research and Analysis: Conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and behaviors. • Design and Prototyping: Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with user expectations. • Usability Evaluation: Evaluating the usability of designs through testing and feedback, identifying areas for improvement. • Collaboration: Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and refine designs. • Human Factors Integration: Applying human factors principles (e.g., cognitive load, perception, motor skills) to design systems that are safe, efficient, and comfortable for users. • Documentation and Reporting: Documenting design decisions, research findings, and usability test results. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
• UX/UI Design: Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. • User Research: Experience with various research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. • Human Factors: Knowledge of human capabilities, limitations, and cognitive processes. • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively and present findings. • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve usability issues and propose creative solutions. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with design tools (e.g., PenPot, Adobe Creative Cloud) and basic coding skills. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00.
