Commissioning Internship
Location: Altavista, VA

The Role:
Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to join our Projects team for the Summer of 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical system troubleshooting, quality control, and start-up. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, develop valuable skills, and contribute to our continued success.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with our Project Closeout Technical Support Manager
  • Learn the different parts of HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping systems and startup procedures
  • Support field operations with any technical issues that arise
  • Visit job sites when required to test/troubleshoot any issues
  • Team building with Commissioning team and other interns
  • Prepare presentation for Leadership at the completion of the internship

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Transportation and ability to commute to the Altavista Offices and our job sites
  • Great sense of humor
