Position Responsibilities:
Review and analyze UX in early phases of development and deliver feedback with UX design alternatives. Ensure that the UI development results meet market and consumer demand, technical specifications and carrier requirements. Responsible for maintaining quality from a project execution perspective, identifying risks and providing tactical support as needed. Communicate regarding the OneUI UX platform with carriers, gather feedback, and work closely with designers to enhance the Samsung device experience. Conduct and lead design research and propose new design concepts with mockups. Communicate and cooperate with internal teams including product design research, engineering, and marketing, and external partners, such as telecommunication operators and external consultants. Conduct group usability studies and document results and analysis of the studies. Analyze UX of competing mobile devices as well as market trends in mobile UX.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Informatics, Graphic Design, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered, or as a UX designer, or another related occupation. Must have five years of experience in the following skills: (1) creating user-centered design solutions with measurable outcomes; (2) understanding users and gaining insights through various research and prototyping for validating ideas; (3) improving design iteratively with design feedback; (4) transforming user insights to product experience; and (5) launching products by delivering artifact in a market. Must have three years of experience in the following skill: (6) project management in cross-functional collaboration for complex projects including scoping a project, resolving conflicts with other teams, resource management, and managing a cross-functional team. Must have one year of experience in the following skill: (7) mentoring other designers including reviewing their works. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week. Salary Range: $175,656/year to $185,656/year
