UI/UX Web Designer
Quantico, VA – 1 day a week onsite
Secret clearance is required to start
Must be able to get Top Secret This position is for a user interface and experience designer to support the FBI’s Training Division by applying information technology solutions to their business processes.
This designer would be responsible for supporting the development and design of user interfaces for custom built web applications. Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities involve working with the project manager, business analysts, and developers to create an intuitive and fluid design and ensuring that design is consistently applied across the application. This person would be an advocate for the user; working to limit user frustration and ensure accessibility requirements are met. This position is responsible for ensuring developed products meet Accessibility and Section 508 standards. This position is in a team environment and involves collaboration with and supporting multiple teams. Job Experience:
• 5+ years demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications.
• Experience developing engaging and user friendly user interfaces which conform to accessibility standards. Will be asked to provide a portfolio of modern, sophisticated interaction designs for web applications
• Experience working with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Proficiency using professional design tools such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc.
• An understanding of the principles and techniques of Responsive Web Design
• Experience working and designing in an Agile environment
• Must be analytical, detail oriented and able to translate functional requirements into web- based solutions (i.e., web applications) using advanced technologies
• Clearance: Active Secret with ability to obtain a Top Secret OTHER DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience designing with client rich technologies such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery, or Knockout a plus
• Experience working with .NET based applications and MS Visual Studio
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, similar degree, or significant software design experience.
