Job Overview
The person in this role will act as a Senior Interaction Designer for onsite Disney Store touchpoints, inclusive of web, mobile app and other digital products. They will design intuitive and engaging user experiences to bring storytelling magic to the online shopping experience, owning the interactive design process from concept to execution (ex. designing a scrolling parallax experience on a custom landing page). This is a one year contract with the possibility of renewal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Interpret marketing, promotional and merchandising strategies into compelling interactive experiences for the Disney Store site and app, while maintaining the Disney Store global creative direction principles
? Translate user needs into innovative design solutions, collaborating with various product and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and delightful user journey
? Design wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes to present to leadership and stakeholder teams to gain alignment
? Design graphics and animations for interactive experiences such as scrolling parallax, or provide guidance to other designers and animators to provide assets for immersive experiences
? Partner with Product and Engineering teams to execute immersive digital experiences on a Salesforce site platform, writing custom HTML/JavaScript/CSS code when needed
? Build and test prototypes that allow you to gather feedback on your ideas, and use that feedback to iterate and continuously improve
? Utilize data, analytics and insights to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of deliverables
? Seek innovative ways to improve the ecommerce experience focusing on mobile and responsive design

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
? Strong understanding of UX and UI design principles, with focus on interactive experiences
? Ability to customize digital experiences on Salesforce site platform using basic HTML/JavaScript/CSS
? Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other prototyping software
? Skilled with wireframing, prototyping, basic graphic design, and basic motion graphics animation
? Ability to think at a system level, mapping complex user journeys across multiple surfaces and designing scalable frameworks for an enterprise environment
? Ability to influence product strategy and build consensus with executive stakeholders in a highly collaborative, cross-functional organization
? Experience in bringing prototypes to life though, visual design, motion design, micro interactions and animation
? Build consistent and accessible design systems that delight and that scale to global audiences, across multiple devices and formats
? Solve customer problems through measurable improvements that drive discovery and engagement
Experience with digital design and development principles with a strong knowledge of Adobe CS, Figma user-centric design, motion design and e-commerce environments
Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Experience with project management software (i.e., JIRA)
Portfolio required for consideration
