Job description

The Receptionist 1 receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors to attend to all callers/visitors promptly. The Receptionist 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will operate a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs.
  • You will take and distribute accurate messages.
  • You will greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintain visitor logs.
  • You will alert appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee.
  • You will respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as our location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email address.
  • Your additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages.
  • You will limit decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close guidance and within established guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred but will consider candidates with a Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Team player
  • We consider this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.

Other Qualifications:

  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
