Description

• Provides direct clinical nutrition care following established guidelines
• Documents and updates all pertinent patient data
• Develops and recommends therapeutic diets tailored to patient needs
• Collaborates in multidisciplinary care and serves as resource for clinical and allied staff
• Precepts dietetic interns and students, contributing to their growth
• Participates in Performance Improvement initiatives and maintains departmental records
• Adheres to HACCP and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations

Education

• Registered Dietitian credentialed through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Certified as a Dietitian by the State of Indiana

Certifications

• Active RD credential with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• State licensure required
• Training or certification in HACCP or clinical sanitation standards preferred

Skills

• Strong clinical nutrition assessment and planning abilities
• Excellent communicator with skill in patient and interdisciplinary education
