We are seeking a Service Engineer โ€“ Turbocharger to deliver expert technical support and comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for large turbocharger systems typically found on marine engines and large-bore industrial applications.


This critical role supports industries such as military and defense, first responders, and global supply chain providers, helping to ensure operational stability for everything from raw materials to food products and consumer goods.

About the Role:

As a Service Engineer โ€“ Turbocharger, you will:

  • Perform Assembly and Disassembly: Execute assembly and disassembly of turbochargers and their components according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Inspect and Diagnose: Assess turbochargers for wear and damage, accurately diagnose mechanical issues, and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Conduct Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, reconditioning, and parts replacement to optimize turbocharger performance.
  • Prepare Technical Reports: Write detailed technical reports on the condition of turbochargers and the maintenance or repair work performed.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Verify that all maintenance and repairs meet established quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide Customer Support: Offer technical advice and support to customers, both onsite and remotely.
  • Mentor and Lead Teams: Lead small teams of technicians as needed, ensuring efficient collaboration and skill development.
  • Travel Extensively: Ability to work weekends as required to support service schedules
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Education: Recognized electrical or mechanical certification from an accredited trade school, military training institution, or associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with turbochargers (e.g., ABB, MAN, NAPIER, MET), marine diesel engines, or similar mechanical systems. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Skills: Strong technical understanding of turbocharger systems, effective problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to write detailed technical reports.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driverโ€™s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $40.00 - $58.00 per hour (based on experience, skillset, and location).
