Description
We are looking for a few Equipment Operators to safely operate drilling and other heavy equipment to install infrastructure (e.g., fiber conduit, utility poles, foundations) on our main-line fiber optic projects according to each projects specifications. They will ensure equipment is properly maintained, site safety is upheld, and productivity goals are achieved.
This position reports daily to the job site, not to an office location.
Schedule:
  • Regularly scheduled to work 40 hours a week.
  • Currently has local work available for the next few years in Memphis, TN area.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed in addition to regular travel.

Travel:
  • For training, may be out of state

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company's minimum safety standards. CDL license is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating drilling and/or heavy construction equipment; preferred candidates will have at least 3 years of experience.
  • Proficient in Internet-related applications such as email and web browsers.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and locate maps.
  • Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
