Gear Repair Specialist

As a Gear Repair Specialist, you will be supporting precision repair, machining, assembly, and maintenance activities to ensure highquality product delivery. You will be operating equipment, interpreting technical drawings, performing measurements, and maintaining safety standards while contributing to smooth production operations.

In this role, you will be:

  • Understanding and using mechanical and digital measurement tools such as tape measures, micrometers, indicators, and calipers

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Performing mathematical calculations commonly used in manufacturing

  • Operating equipment such as lathes, grinders, boring mills, key seaters, and gearcutting machines

  • Tearing down, diagnosing, assembling, testing, and repairing products

  • Assembling and building crates for product shipment

  • Loading products onto freight carrier vehicles

  • Assisting in the assembly cell and pulling parts to maintain inventory

  • Locating materials and expediting part shortages

  • Using hand tools and operating materialhandling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, pallet handlers, and hand trucks

  • Lifting heavy objects within applicable weight limits

  • Following all safety and quality procedures during operations

  • Performing any additional duties assigned by supervisors or managers

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or industrial environment

  • Ability and willingness to lift, pull, or push 40+ pounds

  • Ability and willingness to work any shift, including weekends

  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and push

  • Ability to work in a nonclimatecontrolled environment

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Ability to multitask and manage various duties

  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to read and interpret schedules, safety rules, operating instructions, and technical drawings

  • Understanding of rotating machinery installations and alignment

  • Mechanical aptitude
