Abrasives Pump Operator

Operate, maintain and repair high pressure water pump and hydraulic and mechanical systems for White Fleet Abandonment abrasive cutting systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining high pressure water pump.
  • Set up and test abrasive cutting systems.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform rigging and lifting operations associated with setup and deployment of abrasive system.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years' work-related experience or Twelve (12) months of mechanical or hydraulic training, to include on the job training.
  • Must have basic knowledge tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.

This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
  • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
  • Frequently high humidity and high noise.
  • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
  • Exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

Physical Activity/Requirements

  • Lift 25-50 pounds
  • Wear PPE.
  • Climb stairs/ladders, stand, balance, stoop, squat, reach, and lift/carry objects
