Job description

VG Systems, LLC is a HUBZone small business based in Quantico, VA. We are a dynamic, expanding company with exciting opportunities in IT, Project Management Solutions, Application Development and Website Development.


VG Systems, LLC is seeking a Technical Writer to support project documentation, training development, and contract deliverables. This position is available under the HUBZone program, and candidates must meet HUBZone requirements to be considered.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Project Manager in the creation of contract deliverables, project plans, and reports
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint-based training and help sites
  • Develop user-focused training materials including Work Instructions, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), and How-To Videos
  • Design and administer end-user surveys to gather feedback on system functionality and training effectiveness
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline onboarding and minimize transition time from staff turnover
  • Provide additional project support and other duties as assigned within the scope of contract execution


Requirements

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, user-friendly documentation
  • Experience developing training materials, SOPs, and instructional content
  • Familiarity with SharePoint site administration and content management
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to commit to 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 40 hours completed within any four-week period.
  • Small Business Administration HUBZone eligibility; ability to provide appropriate documentation to support HUBZone status
  • Preferred: Prior experience working with a DoD or Federal agency requiring at least a Public Trust or higher-level background investigation within the past few years
