As the MineStar Hub Manager, you will lead a team supporting multiple autonomous mining operations across the United States from Caterpillar's Phoenix hub, helping customers maximize the value of Command for Hauling technology every day.

This role places you at the center of Caterpillar's autonomous mining network. You will oversee remote operational support, develop high-performing teams, and partner with mine site leaders to drive safety, productivity, and technology adoption across multiple customer accounts. You'll connect customers, Caterpillar product groups, and field teams to ensure autonomous operations perform at their highest level.

What you'll do

You'll be accountable for delivering exceptional customer support and operational performance across multiple autonomous mining sites. You'll lead a team of autonomy professionals while collaborating with customers, dealers, product groups, and commercial partners to ensure safe, reliable, and productive autonomous operations.

  • Lead and develop a team of Autonomous Application Specialists, Autonomous Onboard Specialists, providing remote and site-based support across multiple customer accounts.
  • Serve as the primary operational leader for Caterpillar's U.S. autonomous support hub based in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Drive performance across key customer metrics including technology availability, fleet utilization, production, uptime, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with site managers, regional leaders, dealers, and product groups to resolve operational challenges and accelerate corrective actions.
  • Establish consistent processes, reporting, and support models that improve autonomy performance across multiple mine sites.
  • Build strong relationships with customer leadership teams and become a trusted advisor for autonomous mining operations.
  • Provide leadership during critical operational events, escalations, and major deployments.
  • Champion Caterpillar's Zero Harm commitment by ensuring safe operating practices across all supported autonomous operations.
  • Develop talent, succession plans, and technical capabilities within the autonomy support organization.

What skills you will have:

Technical Excellence: Extensive experience supporting autonomous mining systems, MineStar Command for Hauling, fleet management systems, or mining technology solutions.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance day-to-day operational support with long-term business objectives and customer outcomes.

Relationship Management: Proven ability to influence customers, dealers, product groups, and internal stakeholders without direct authority. Demonstrated success leading technical or operational teams across multiple locations and customer accounts.

Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer success and operational excellence.

Effective Communication: Ability to communicate with frontline teams through executive leadership while managing complex and sensitive situations.

Problem Solving: Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges in dynamic environments.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree.
  • Experience leading autonomous mining operations, MineStar support organizations, or large-scale mining technology deployments.
  • Experience managing distributed or remote support teams.

This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona.

The role supports multiple autonomous mining operations across the United States and will require 25-50% travel to customer mine sites.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
