Description This recruitment is open until filled and subject to close at any time. The City of Cupertino is recruiting a part-time position of Applications Intern III. This entry level classification is responsible for assisting with the Website Content Management System for Cupertino public website.

The position will be responsible for maintaining and updating the city's website and intranet. The application intern will also support website internal users and create and update technical documentation. Ideal candidate will be able to contribute in coding and maintaining web applications.

The candidate will assist in needs analysis for projects; perform research for ideal solutions for the business need. Part-Time Temporary Non-Benefited Position Essential Duties Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Assists the division with the Web Content Management System for the Cupertino's public website and maintains and updates the City's intranet.

Supports the applications team with updating user and technical documentation. Codes and maintains web applications Assist with needs analysis on projects Research ideal software solutions related to business needs and technical specifications. Qualifications Knowledge of: Understanding of and/or experience using .NET Web Development, ASP.NET and C#

Front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming. Database Development using RDBMS and SQL.

Ability to: Ability to work independently. Have good written, verbal communication skills and analytical skills. Experience and Education: Must be either enrolled in a Computer Science degree program or be a recent graduate in a related field with up to 1 year of experience.

License or Certificate: Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required.
