HTI is seeking a Buyer Associate for a leading manufacturer in Summerville, SC. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

This role is ideal for someone with purchasing or supply chain experience who is looking to build their career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Candidates with Oracle ERP experience and/or purchasing experience may be considered at the higher end of the pay range ($30+/hour)

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment
  • Purchasing or procurement experience preferred
  • Oracle ERP experience is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, procurement, and material planning processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with government contracting (FAR/DFARS) is a plus
  • APICS or ISM certification is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance


What Your Role Will Look Like

  • Review purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders to approved suppliers
  • Manage open purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered on time to support production
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and assist with supplier selection and negotiations related to price, quality, and delivery
  • Support procurement reporting and maintain accurate purchasing documentation
  • Partner with suppliers and internal departments to resolve purchasing and invoice issues
  • Help ensure a reliable flow of materials to support manufacturing operations
