The Opportunity
HSBC Global Trade Solutions (GTS) supports clients with a comprehensive range of structured and traditional trade products including supply chain finance, receivables and inventory finance, trade loans, letters of credit, guarantees and sustainable trade solutions. In this role you'll own and manage a pipeline of new-to-trade and existing-to-trade opportunities within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector. You'll work through full sales cycles from prospecting through to deal closing and partner closely with Relationship Managers to identify client needs and shape solutions. Success means delivering tailored trade finance outcomes that meet client requirements while operating within regulatory frameworks. You'll also help strengthen HSBC's sector presence by staying close to industry and economic trends and engaging in relevant forums and events. Throughout, you'll help protect the bank by ensuring deals meet credit risk, operational risk, compliance policies and client outcome standards.
What you'll be doing
  • Own and manage a pipeline of new-to-trade and existing-to-trade client opportunities through full sales cycles
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to identify needs and deliver tailored trade finance solutions aligned with client requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • Structure proposals and client pitches that articulate commercial value and fit-for-purpose GTS solutions
  • Coordinate with coverage teams, product specialists and implementation teams to deliver end-to-end commercial solutions
  • Partner with risk and compliance functions to progress deals in line with credit, operational risk and compliance policies
  • Engage with global GTS counterparts to align on solutions and execution across a matrixed environment
  • Monitor industry, economic and regulatory trends to identify sector-specific opportunities for GTS growth
  • Safeguard portfolio quality by ensuring client outcome standards are met across all transactions

What we're looking for
  • Bring proven experience selling trade finance solutions across full sales cycles from prospecting to deal closing
  • Demonstrate strong capability shaping structured and traditional trade finance solutions to client needs
  • Produce persuasive proposals and client pitches for senior stakeholders including C-suite clients
  • Communicate clearly in writing and in person with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Use MS Excel and PowerPoint effectively to support commercial analysis and presentations
  • Collaborate effectively across global matrixed teams including product, risk and implementation partners
  • Work confidently across time zones and coordinate delivery across multiple internal stakeholders
  • Hold ICFA, CITF, CTPA or equivalent certification or bring equivalent demonstrable trade finance expertise
