Job description

We welcome you to apply for our Occupational Therapist I position at Children's Colorado's Highlands Ranch Therapy Care (HRTC). HRTC is a fun, dynamic, multidisciplinary outpatient practice dedicated to providing exceptional, patient and family-centered care. In this role, you will:
• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment services for patients referred for feeding and/or sensory processing support.
• Partner closely with families through ongoing consultation and education, using a collaborative, family-centered approach to care.
This position offers advancement opportunities (OT I to OT II or OT III) with continuing education, specialization, and participation in hospital initiatives and activities.

Department Name: Highlands Ranch Therapy
Job Status: Full-Time; 40 hours/week - eligible for benefits
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am - 6pm
Qualifications
• EDUCATION -Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field of study.
• EXPERIENCE - 3 years preferred experience with feeding and/or swallowing experience preferred with both sensory and feeding/swallowing based interventions
• CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR
• LICENSURE - Colorado State Registration for Occupational Therapy - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment
This position has been defined and is governed by the Children's Hospital Colorado Medical Staff bylaws, continuation of employment is contingent upon the review and approval of the Colorado Health Care Professionals Credential Application within 3 months of employment. Failure to successfully pass the credentialing process may result in the termination of your employment. Such positions include: Advanced Practice Providers, licensed professional counselors, or Adjunct Medical Staff.
Responsibilities
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
• Collaboration: Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other providers to ensure continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
• Documentation: Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location and time frames.
• Evaluation/Re-evaluations: Independently evaluates children from birth to 21 years of age, with a variety of diagnosis, in specialized programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
• Financial Responsibility: Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
• Leadership and/or Professionalism- Demonstrates professional behaviors; adheres to hospital and departmental policies and promotes personal and departmental development through participation in development activities to improve the patient experience and quality goals of the department and hospital.
• Provides consultation and education to families.
• Treatment: Treat children ages birth to 21 years of age, with a variety of diagnoses, and in specialized programs on inpatient and outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Seeks out appropriate mentoring/training and consults with relative Program Coordinator and/or assigned mentor for complex patient diagnoses.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $78,659.24 to $117,988.86.
Relocation assistance available to qualified candidates if relocating from 100 miles or greater. Conditions may apply.
