Job description

The Senior HRIS Analyst serves as a key functional system owner for Workday Core HCM and Benefits, with responsibility for system configuration, governance, integrations, data integrity, and continuous optimization. This role will also serve as a subject matter expert for Greenhouse ATS, supporting the integration and alignment of recruiting processes and data across the HR technology ecosystem.
Serving as a strategic and technical partner within HRIS, this role works closely with HR Operations, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions, strengthen controls, maintain high-quality employee data, and continuously improve the employee, candidate, and manager experience.
System Ownership & Configuration
  • Administer, configure, and continuously optimize Workday Core HCM and Benefits functionality.
  • Maintain organizational structures, supervisory organizations, job and position frameworks, staffing models, worker data, eligibility rules, benefit plans, life events, and related configuration.
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, condition rules, validations, notifications, security roles, and approval workflows.
  • Support annual and ongoing benefits processes, including Open Enrollment, new-hire enrollment, qualifying life events, eligibility changes, and benefit plan updates.
  • Maintain and monitor inbound and outbound integrations with benefit carriers, payroll providers, identity/access systems, and other third-party vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify configuration, improve automation, and reduce manual HR processes while maintaining appropriate governance and controls.

Greenhouse ATS & Recruiting Technology
  • Serve as an HRIS subject matter expert for Greenhouse ATS, partnering closely with Talent Acquisition to support system administration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and enhance Greenhouse configuration, including job and offer-related workflows, custom fields, permissions, templates, approvals, and integrations.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable data flow between Greenhouse and Workday, with particular focus on candidate-to-hire processes and new-hire data integrity.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify opportunities to streamline recruiting workflows and improve recruiter, hiring manager, candidate, and new-hire experiences.
  • Support Greenhouse data audits, system enhancements, testing, and vendor releases.
  • Maintain appropriate system access, data governance, and controls across recruiting technology.

Enhancements, Testing & Release Management
  • Gather and translate business requirements into scalable HR technology solutions aligned with Workday and Greenhouse best practices.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests, assess downstream impacts, and recommend solutions that balance business needs, user experience, system scalability, and governance.
  • Lead functional testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support Workday releases and Greenhouse product updates by evaluating new functionality, assessing business impact, and coordinating testing and deployment.
  • Maintain configuration documentation, process maps, test scripts, and other HRIS governance materials.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors on integrations, troubleshooting, enhancements, and system implementations.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HRIS, HR technology, or Workday functional administration, preferably within a complex or rapidly growing organization.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM, including business processes, organizational structures, staffing transactions, security, and data management.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday Benefits, including eligibility rules, benefit plans, enrollment events, Open Enrollment, and carrier integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and supporting Greenhouse ATS, including configuration, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
  • Experience supporting or maintaining Greenhouse-to-Workday integrations strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with HR system integrations, data feeds, EIBs, and mass data management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading testing, troubleshooting complex system issues, and implementing HR technology enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of HR data governance, security, confidentiality, and internal controls.
  • Ability to translate HR business requirements into practical, scalable system solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday certification or advanced hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • Experience supporting Benefits Open Enrollment and annual HR programs.
  • Experience working within an integrated HR technology ecosystem spanning Workday, Greenhouse, benefits vendors, payroll, and other HR platforms.
  • Experience supporting HR technology implementations, acquisitions, reorganizations, or other large-scale organizational changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own functional areas while collaborating across HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition.
