Job description

Job Title: R&D Software Engineer II
Location: Little Canada, MN - 100% Onsite 
Pay Range: $55/hr to $60/hr on W2 

Job Details: 

  • Collaborate with software development engineers to understand and contribute to the overall architecture of research software systems.
  • Work closely with scientists, engineers, and clinical professionals to prototype, refine, and implement innovative signal processing and 3D graphics algorithms.
  • Participate in benchtop and preclinical testing to validate new algorithm concepts and software features.
  • Engage with customers and clinical teams to gather feedback and iteratively improve research software solutions.
  • Document complex technical topics clearly and participate in cross-functional review processes to ensure quality and innovation.

Required Skills 

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 4 years of practical experience in software development, particularly with C++.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems and development tools such as Visual Studio, Jira, and Perforce.
