Job description

Overview
Keysight is at the forefront of technology innovation, delivering breakthroughs and trusted insights in electronic design, simulation, prototyping, test, manufacturing, and optimization. Our ~15,000 employees create world-class solutions in communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets for customers in over 100 countries. Learn more about what we do.
Our award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.
It's an exciting time to join Keysight's largest business segment, the Communications Solutions Group (CSG). We are seeking a Finance Analyst - Business Process & Financial Operations to serve as a trusted Finance Business Partner supporting the High Frequency Measurement (HFM) Center of Excellence, one of Keysight's largest and most innovative engineering organizations. Success in this role depends as much on building trusted relationships and influencing decisions as it does on technical financial expertise.
You'll partner directly with Engineering Leaders, Finance, HR, and Procurement to support financial planning, workforce planning, project investments, and strategic business decisions. Rather than simply reporting financial results, you'll help leaders understand what the numbers mean, why they matter, and what actions should be taken next. As the financial bridge between R&D and Finance, you'll provide meaningful analysis, guide investment decisions, and identify risks and opportunities across a global engineering organization.
Success in this role requires strong financial and analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, exceptional relationship-building abilities, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights that influence business decisions.
If your favorite part of Finance is partnering with business leaders rather than simply reporting the numbers, we'd love to talk with you.
Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Financial Planning
  • Serve as a trusted financial business partner to engineering and business leaders within the High Frequency Measurement (HFM) Center of Excellence (CoE), helping drive informed business and investment decisions.
  • Support month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Provide financial guidance to leaders by translating complex financial data into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Perform financial consolidation and analysis across CSG organizations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and controls.
  • Deliver variance analysis and proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making.

Headcount & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and maintain workforce and headcount forecasts.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of hiring plans, organizational changes, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Provide visibility into workforce capacity, labor spending, and long-term resource planning.

R&D Financial Management & Capital Planning
  • Partner with engineering and project teams to monitor project spending, financial performance, and investment priorities.
  • Support capital planning activities, including investment requests, approvals, tracking, and reporting.
  • Perform financial analysis for R&D investments using metrics such as ROI, NPV, and gross margin.
  • Help engineering and business leaders understand project financial performance, funding requirements, budget utilization, and emerging financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting, Analytics & Decision Support
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and decision support tools.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations that support business decisions.
  • Improve data visibility and accessibility for stakeholders through meaningful reporting and business intelligence solutions.
  • Maintain financial models and business tools that support strategic planning and operational decisions.

Process Improvement & Financial Operations
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve financial processes.
  • Support implementation of new tools, automation, and streamlined workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining financial visibility and data integrity.
  • Partner with business teams to recommend operational improvements and financial best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and the broader organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Build trusted relationships across Finance, Engineering, HR, Procurement, and Product Management organizations.
  • Act as the trusted financial bridge between R&D and Finance, helping align business priorities with financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with global Engineering, Finance, and business partners across multiple locations and time zones to support consistent planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Communicate financial insights clearly and confidently to influence business decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner directly with Engineering Directors, General Managers, and senior business leaders to provide financial guidance, support strategic planning, and influence investment decisions.

Data Analytics & Emerging Technologies
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to improve forecasting, planning, and reporting.
  • Leverage enterprise reporting and financial planning tools while exploring AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and decision support.
  • Recommend innovative approaches that enhance financial visibility while maintaining data integrity and business context.

Knowledge Sharing & Team Support
  • Support onboarding and training on financial systems, reporting tools, and business processes.
  • Maintain documentation and promote best practices across the Finance organization.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative, continuous learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in financial planning, business operations, or related roles
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Experience supporting Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Product, or other technical organizations preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and business leaders
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle, OneStream, BI tools)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset with exposure to automation or AI tools preferred
