How do I apply for USPS?

To apply for a job at USPS, visit the official USPS Careers website and search for available positions that match your interests and qualifications. After applying, you can track your application status through your online account. Make sure to regularly check your email for updates or interview invitations.

What steps can I expect in the USPS application and hiring process, and how long does it typically take?

When applying for a position with USPS, you can expect to complete an online application, take a required assessment test (such as Postal Exam 473 for many entry-level roles), and undergo an interview if you pass the exam. The process may also include a background check and drug screening. Timelines can vary, but from application to job offer, it often takes several weeks, so applicants should be prepared for some waiting. Staying proactive by checking your email and USPS profile regularly for updates is important to ensure you don't miss essential communications.

Job description

Sales Representative | Veterans Encouraged to ApplyDiscipline. Drive. Results.

At DC Pines, we believe the skills built through military service translate incredibly well to sales: discipline, accountability, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to execute a proven process.

We're hiring Sales Representatives in Houston, and veterans and transitioning service members are strongly encouraged to apply.

No sales or roofing experience required. We provide the training.

What We Offer
  • Base pay + uncapped commission
  • $75,000-$150,000+ earning potential
  • 12-week paid training program
  • Structured coaching and mentorship
  • Performance-based advancement
  • Competitive, team-focused environment
  • Clear expectations and measurable goals
  • Full-time, in-person position

Your effort matters here, and strong performance is rewarded accordingly.

The Role

You'll work directly with Houston-area homeowners to generate and close roofing and window opportunities.

You'll learn how to:

  • Identify homes that may need roofing or window inspections
  • Approach and communicate with homeowners
  • Follow our proven sales process
  • Build relationships and earn customer trust
  • Handle objections and close opportunities
  • Track your performance and continually improve
Why Veterans?

Because we can teach sales.

It's much harder to teach:

Discipline. Accountability. Coachability. Resilience. Teamwork.

If you understand how to follow a system, take feedback, work toward measurable goals, and keep moving after hearing "no," you already have skills that matter here.

Military experience is valued, but not required.

Ready for What's Next?

You don't need to know roofing.

You don't need previous sales experience.

Bring the discipline. We'll teach you the system.

If you're ready to build a high-income civilian career where performance matters, apply today.

    • High earning potential with uncapped commission structure after training
    • Performance-based advancement opportunities
    • Flexible hybrid work environment
    • Opportunity to transition into a full sales role within 90 days (or sooner based on performance)
