Do you have a passion for working with families and individuals in need of healthcare, housing, and community support services? Community of Hope is seeking a full-time Housing Program Director for our Permanent Supportive Housing Scattered Site Program. In this role you will guide the scattered site program to ensures that the program achieves fundamental housing goals, including helping individuals and families quickly and effectively secure and maintain stable permanent housing, increase self-sufficiency (income, benefits, and education), increase family stability/strength, and/or achieve and maintain health and wellness.

This position is located at the Commons at Stanton in Southeast, DC.

What You'll Do

  • Provides leadership and vision alongside the other PSH Program Directors and Senior Director of Housing, in developing and managing the Permanent Supportive Housing program, and ensures program integrity and excellence in keeping the program in line with best practices in the field.
  • Supports general program operations, including development and implementation of policies and procedures, staffing structure, new ideas for program development, etc.
  • Supports staff in working directly with clients, including providing programmatic supervision and having face-to-face client visits as needed.
  • Collaborates with the other PSH Program Directors and Senior Director of Housing to determine best use of client support resources.
  • Meets with DHS, TCP and other providers monthly, or as requested, to ensure program compliance and excellence, as well as to develop strong working relationships with partner agencies.
  • Meets with supervisees regularly and provides real-time feedback, training, support, and coaching as needed.??Creates meeting agendas, sends meeting agendas in advance when possible, and documents concerns promptly as needed.
  • Reviews the performance of team members in a timely manner, including completing 90 day and annual performance evaluations per their due dates, documenting any issues or changes, providing recommendations for professional development and/or training opportunities, and recognizing staff when appropriate?
  • Delegates tasks appropriately to team members to ensure that team goals and responsibilities are achieved. Prioritizes tasks and directs work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversees annual budget and monitors contract spending throughout the year, and collaborates with Team Coordinators and Senior Director of Housing to determine best use of client support resources.

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • LICSW or LPC required. LGSW will be considered.
  • Three years' professional supervisory and/or managerial experience in human services.
  • Minimum two years' working with people who are experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, people, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using computer spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on an on-call basis.
