What is a housing bartender?

Housing bartenders are hospitality professionals who serve drinks and beverages at establishments that provide lodging, such as hotels, resorts, or residential complexes. They are responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, interacting with guests, and ensuring a pleasant bar experience within the housing facility. In addition to bartending skills, they often need to maintain a clean bar area, manage inventory, and comply with local alcohol regulations. Their role can also include providing personalized recommendations and ensuring customer satisfaction in a residential or hospitality setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a housing bartender?

To thrive as a Housing Bartender, you need strong beverage preparation skills, knowledge of drink recipes, and often a bartending certification or responsible beverage service permit. Job description

Behind Every Exceptional Community Is a Team That Runs It Flawlessly

At Northwood Ravin, we’re known for creating some of the most distinctive luxury apartment communities in the Southeast. That same level of care and precision extends beyond what residents see—it’s embedded in how we operate every day.

We’re looking for a Bartender who takes pride in creating quality drinks, providing attentive service, and delivering a welcoming and memorable guest experience.

The Opportunity
In this position, you will lead the bar experience by preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and ensuring timely, professional service throughout each shift.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar
  • Helping guests be aware of and choose items from the drink menu
  • Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service
  • Adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team

You have a solid foundation in hospitality, customer service, or a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and stay organized under pressure. At least 4 years or bartending experience and you’re comfortable working evenings, weekends, and being on your feet for extended periods.

More importantly, you bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work. You’re dependable, collaborative, and take pride in delivering high-quality results and representing the Northwood Ravin brand with pride.

Why Northwood Ravin

We believe exceptional communities are built by exceptional people and we are intentional about supporting both.

Our team is supported through competitive compensation, personal development, housing opportunities within our communities, and an elevated benefits experience designed to promote well-being, financial stability, and life beyond work.

We offer retirement planning with company match, generous paid time off, and dedicated time to give back through volunteer initiatives.

Our commitment to you evolves over time, through expanded time off, enhanced retirement contributions, reduced benefit costs, and meaningful recognition at key milestones.

Our Culture

We’re collaborative, accountable, and committed to excellence in everything we do. There’s a shared pride in our work—and a shared understanding that the details matter.

If you’re looking to be part of a team that operates with intention and high standards, we’d love to connect.

Northwood Ravin is an equal opportunity employer.

Company Description

Imagine a Company That Invests in You.
