Description:

As a Houseperson/Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas of the hotel and be a key person of reference for guests through unloading and loading luggage and driving them to local points of interest.


This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Upkeep the public areas
  • Assisting with Housekeeping as much as needed by providing basic housekeeping duties (changing the sheets, changing and arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guest check out)
  • Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
  • Recognize and report potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Maintaining shelf organization in the storerooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Cleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures, carpets, walls, and more in public areas such as the lobby, pool, and public restrooms
  • Delivering special request items such as cribs to guest rooms
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be 21 years of age
  • Maintain vehicle mileage log at the beginning and end of each trip indicating mileage, time, name, and date
  • Ensure vans are clean and all proper vehicle maintenance records are current
  • Report all accidents and/or traffic violations immediately
  • Perform vehicle inspection prior to each trip and upon return to the hotel

  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

  • Having a proper, valid Driver's License and a clean driving record

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
