Position Title: Hotel Houseman
Position Summary
The Hotel Houseman is responsible for supporting the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas, assisting room attendants, and ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service. This position plays a key role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and meeting spaces.
  • Deliver clean linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies to housekeeping staff and guest rooms.
  • Remove trash, soiled linens, and recyclables from guest room floors and designated areas.
  • Restock housekeeping closets and supply carts throughout each shift.
  • Assist room attendants with moving furniture, making beds, and other housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, including delivering extra towels, linens, pillows, and amenities.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Set up and break down meeting rooms or event spaces when required.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely and properly.
