Job description

Description:

We are looking to add a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to our team. Being a successful Housekeeping Supervisor takes a blend of custodial knowledge and management capabilities. You must take personal accountability for the cleanliness of each guest room and set a good example for your team. Excellent communication skills are essential to being successful in this role as you will be working with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after
  • guests check out
  • Deliver linens to the laundry department
  • Inspect rooms and public spaces daily to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards
  • Train new housekeeping staff to ensure they know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards
  • Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replaces on housekeeping cart when needed
  • Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances
  • Communicate with maintenance team regarding any maintenance requests reported by housekeeping team members
  • Communicate with front desk team regarding rooms that are ready for new arrivals to check-in


Job Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
