Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Ability to understand and follow chemical safety directions

Physically able to lift, push, and move equipment and materials consistent with medium work requirements (up to 50 pounds occasionally)

What You Will Do:

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas in a safe and sanitary condition. Help support a healing environment by ensuring cleanliness and infection control are always maintained.

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, baths, offices, halls, and other areas following established standards

Maintain floor cleanliness: sweep, mop, apply finishes, vacuum, and spot clean as needed

Remove trash and waste safely; restock applicable dispensers

Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions per guidelines and safety standards

Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment appropriately

Report low supplies or equipment issues to supervisor promptly

Observe proper isolation, asepsis, and infection control procedures

Dispose of materials per hospital policies

Complete tasks efficiently and ensure all shift responsibilities are finished or handed off

Maintain work area organization and take initiative to improve workflow

Perform other duties as assigned
