Job Summary

The IISMO Driver/ Housing Assistant ensures refugee and immigrant clients receive reliable and safe transportation in support of IISMO programs. This role includes driving the agency vehicles, coordinating daily transportation schedules, completing daily maintenance checks, and ensuring routine vehicle maintenance is completed. Additionally, this position supports the Housing Team by transporting household supplies and assisting the staging housing for new arrivals.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operate agency vehicles to transport clients as directed.
  • Coordinate client transportation in support of agency programs.
  • Maintain safe and clean agency vehicles
  • Schedule routine vehicle maintenance to ensure agency vehicles are in good working order.
  • Communication vehicle maintenance concerns agency leadership for timely resolution.
  • Transport household goods as directed
  • Staging homes with required household items
  • Complete Home Safety Checklists
  • Maintain receipts and submit receipts per agency policies
  • Document services and provide accurate account of client engagement in case notes.
  • Contribute to an environment that fosters the organization’s mission, teamwork, effective communication, responsiveness, service to the clients and service to the community.
  • Ensure that the mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
