Family Assistant / Household Manager Irvington, NY

A warm, dynamic blended household in Irvington, NY is seeking a proactive and engaging Family Assistant / Household Manager to support their busy home. This is a lively environment with two couples (4 adults), three school-aged children, and two friendly, well-trained dogs.

About the Family
The home includes two 10-year-old girls (step-sisters) and a 7-year-old boy. The children are active, social, and involved in sports and activities. The household is fast-paced, with multiple schedules to manage, and some adults working from home. The family values organization, flexibility, and a positive, easygoing presence.

Position Overview
This role is a blend of household management and light childcare. The ideal candidate is highly organized, takes initiative, and can naturally step in to keep the household running smoothlyespecially when managing the childrens routines, schedules, and daily flow.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the childrens daily routines and schedules
  • Provide after-school support: supervision, snack preparation, and homework encouragement
  • Light meal prep
  • Running errands (Such as dry cleaning, grocery, returns, pick ups, etc)
  • Handle school pick-ups and drop-offs (vehicle provided)
  • Assist with childrens laundry (keeping items separate and maintaining a schedule)
  • Maintain organization in childrens spaces and common areas
  • Help ensure smooth mornings if needed (breakfast, school prep, bus coordination)
  • Keep track of activities, appointments, and overall family schedule
