PERSONAL FAMILY HOUSEHOLD MANAGER

Job Summary:


The Personal Family Household Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a private household by providing comprehensive household management, family support, and administrative coordination. This position develops and maintains efficient household systems, coordinates family logistics, meal planning, household organization, vendors, travel, and special projects, while serving as a trusted partner to the household principals by anticipating needs, reducing the day-to-day operational demands of managing a busy family environment, and ensuring the home operates smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.


Essential Duties:


  • Manage the daily operations of the household by developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that promote organization, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Coordinate family calendars, appointments, activities, travel, errands, household logistics, and special events to ensure schedules remain organized and priorities are effectively managed.
  • Plan family meals, manage grocery shopping and household inventories, and prepare nutritious meals that accommodate family schedules and preferences.
  • Oversee household organization, including kitchens, pantries, storage areas, closets, laundry, household supplies, mail, records, and general household administration.
  • Coordinate household vendors, contractors, maintenance providers, deliveries, and service appointments while monitoring the operational readiness of multiple residences.
  • Support family travel by coordinating preparations before departure, assisting with logistics during travel when requested, and restoring household operations upon return.
  • Provide appropriate support for children's daily routines and occasional childcare needs while maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the household principals, the Executive Personal Assistant to the Owner, vendors, schools, service providers, and other household support professionals, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Maintain confidential household records, schedules, passwords, access credentials, and personal information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
  • Coordinate with the household principals to establish priorities, provide regular updates, and ensure household needs, projects, and follow-up items are addressed accurately and on time.
  • Identify opportunities to improve household processes, organization, and operational efficiency while proactively anticipating family needs.


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic household environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in private household management, family assistance, estate management, hospitality, executive support, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing household operations, family logistics, meal planning, and vendor coordination preferred.
  • Experience supporting families with young children and varying developmental or learning needs preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Must meet Dugan Production Corp.'s Driver Acceptability Profile requirements.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily residence-based with frequent local travel for errands, appointments, and operational support.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, or travel support may be required based on family needs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, cooking, organizing, driving, and other household activities.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
