Job description

Wedgewood Weddings is seeking an experienced Regional Maintenance Technician to support multiple wedding venues throughout the Sacramento region. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our properties by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing a wide variety of repair projects.

This position is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoys working independently, managing multiple priorities, and traveling between locations to keep our venues operating at their best.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs across multiple venue locations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, painting, carpentry, irrigation, and other building systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from venue leadership.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, service requests, and expenses using company technology.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and guest-ready venues.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and irrigation.
  • Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and determine effective repair solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple locations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with venue teams.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Five or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, commercial building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • Experience in at least two skilled trades, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
  • Trade certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Must provide and maintain basic hand tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work from heights.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
  • Travel throughout the Sacramento region to support multiple venue locations.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency maintenance work may be required.
  • Moderate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, mechanical equipment, and other typical maintenance environments.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $30.00
