Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Coordinates daily activities of hourly manufacturing associates.
  • Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule.
  • Communicates Company related information to associates and answers associate's questions.
  • Reviews manufacturing standards for accuracy and coordinate updates as needed.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Works closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured according to customers specifications.
  • Develop internal production related schedules to ensure that specific machinery within defined area are running the required part numbers.
  • Communicates to Supervisor or appropriate management representative any safety, quality, and/or production related issues.
  • Coordinate 6s activities of area.
  • Provides necessary associate training to new associates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical experience and education, a plus.
  • One to two years previous supervisory related experience.
  • Ability to operate forklift.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to use computer, perform basic math, communicate information to small groups of associates.
  • Ability to troubleshoot some machine related problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Oversees the daily work activities of all hourly associates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, lift, and move about the facility in order to perform assigned duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed in a non air conditioned plant environment.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested
