Job description

The Tiburon Peninsula Club represents Southern Marin's premier sports and social club. It serves as an invigorating gathering venue for friends and families. Our Vision: To have the happiest members in Marin.

The Position

We are currently inviting applications for café staff positions, including counter service and beginner to intermediate bartenders, to join our respected team. As a café staff member, you will be expected to handle all tasks related to the café as needed. These responsibilities include bartending, taking orders, cleaning tables, delivering food, managing the expo area, and setting up and executing banquets.

Responsibilities

- Minimum age requirement of 21 years.

- Deliver exemplary customer service to the members of a private club.

- Provide food and beverage recommendations based on member preferences.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu to effectively take and deliver food and drink orders and recommend additional items when appropriate.

- Set up, maintain, and clean the bar, tables, and dining areas.

- Execute ancillary tasks as specified, including inventory management, sanitation, and maintenance of café facilities.

- Assist with the setup and breakdown for special events as required.

- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all serving and kitchen personnel.

- Adhere to all applicable health department regulations and customer service protocols.

Requirements

- A minimum of one year of experience in the restaurant industry is preferred.

- Current Food Handlers and ABC certifications are required (the Club will provide these if necessary).

- A high level of responsibility, accountability, and punctuality is essential.

- Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills are necessary.

- Capability to lift weights of up to 30 pounds as necessary is required.

- The ability to successfully pass a background check is mandatory.

- An upbeat, polite, and friendly demeanor is expected.

Compensation
- Hourly pay is $20-22 DOE +$10/h surcharge.
