Job description

Fatima Family Center, located in Cleveland's Hough neighborhood with Catholic Charites is seeking Summer Camp Counselors that are very energetic, mission driven, and have a passion to work with children. 

At Catholic Charities, we serve everyone, regardless of belief or background, and we employ qualified individuals who commit to our mission with the goal of transforming lives for the better.  One need not be Catholic to join our workforce nor to access our services.

Camp Specifics:

  • Monday - Friday Day Camp
  • Camp staff needs to start June 1st, 2026 (orientation and training week)
  • Season is 8 weeks; June 1st - July 31st, 2026
  • Hourly pay rate: $15.00

Program Statement:  

Fatima Family Center, located in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood, provides programs and services for all ages, including cultural, leadership and development activities for children and youth, homework assistance, summer camp, field trips and recreational programs. Fatima also provides adult services including parenting classes, computer lab, health screenings and food pantry. Older adults can benefit from socialization activities designed specifically for them.

Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years of age to work with the youth in our day camp. Preferred Camp Counselors will have experience working with school aged children.

Camp Counselor responsibilities: 

  • Provide a safe, recreational, and educational day camping experience for assigned group of campers.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain a daily sign-in sheet as needed.
  • Assist with and plan activities (such as arts and crafts).
  • Participate in field trip activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma
